Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) enables voice & video communications to run over computer networks and over the internet. A hosted VoIP telephone service provides reliability and value for businesses, and we recommend you use SKYPE from Microsoft, which is the best-known and most reliable product using this technology.

You may choose to have either a local telephone number, or one from another region in which case customers would call your regular landline number and not be aware of your exact location. You could, for example, have a London telephone number but use your telephone anywhere in the world. As your business grows, or if you operate from more than one location, you can add further handsets, in which case calls between the handsets within your company are free. Using a headset you would also be able to use SKYPE from your laptop or mobile device when on the move.

Hub IT provides a VoIP ready telephone, pre-configured and ready to plug into your router or network at home or office. A small monthly fee includes the cost of the handset, and call rates are less than those normally charged by BT. All billing is centralised.
